Mysore Sandal soap has been made since 1916 by Karnataka Soaps and Detergents Limited (KSDL), the state-owned company in Bengaluru, with sandalwood oil from Karnataka. The name is protected by a Geographical Indication in India. Alongside the classic and Gold bars, the range includes floral soaps, gift packs, talc, hand washes, agarbathies and camphor.
