About Cauvery Sandalwood Powder

Cauvery is the craft brand of the Karnataka State Handicrafts Development Corporation, a government body in the home state of Mysore sandalwood. This is pure ground sandalwood, known in India as chandan. It has many traditional uses: mixed into a paste for face packs, for bathing deity statues, and for the tilak mark worn on the forehead. The 10g pack is a good way to try it.

How to use as a face pack

Mix a little powder with rose water, or with milk cream for dry skin, into a smooth paste. Apply to the face, avoiding the eyes, leave for 10 to 15 minutes, then rinse with lukewarm water.
