Krishna Gopal Ayurveda Bhavan in Ajmer, Rajasthan, is run by a charitable trust (Dharmarth Trust) whose aim is to preserve classical Ayurvedic formulas. Chyawanprash is the best-known Ayurvedic tonic: a dark herbal jam built on amla and cooked with dozens of herbs, ghee and honey. This version follows the Rasatantra Sara and includes the ashtavarga, a group of eight rare classical herbs, along with swarna bhasma (gold), rajat bhasma (silver) and keshar (saffron).

How to use

One to two teaspoons (10 to 20g) twice a day with warm milk, or as directed by your doctor.
