About Mysore Sandal Dhoop

Mysore Sandal is the brand of Karnataka Soaps and Detergents Limited (KSDL), the state-owned company in Bengaluru that has been working with Mysore sandalwood since 1916 and is best known for its sandalwood soap. Dhoop is incense without a bamboo core. Shaped into cones, it burns from the tip down and releases a fuller, denser fragrance than a stick, which is why it is traditional for puja (prayer) in India. The box shows a royal procession, a design also used on Mysore Sandal soap gift boxes.

How to use

Stand a cone on a heat-proof dish or cone holder, light the tip, let it flame for a few seconds, then blow it out and let it smoulder.

Please note

Never leave burning incense unattended. Use a heat-proof holder, keep away from anything flammable, children and pets, and burn in a well-ventilated room.
